Can it use balanced replacement cable?
2.5mm or 4.4mm plug?
Hi, i think you can use balanced cable. On the link in other comment (externall website), there is balanced cable in accessories :))) .... but its nad 100% ... only my mind :)
I have the Mitchell & Johnson MJ2. Believe these are wired the exact same way. Each earcup will have a 3.5mm trs connector. M&J runs the complete stereo signal to each earcup . Internally, only the correct channel is connected to that earcup. This makes it impossible to get the channels reversed, unless the headphones are worn backwards.
This probably means you will need a custom balanced cable, since left and right channels are wired differently, at the earcup. I built a balanced cable for the MJ2 that works well. These are very efficient headphones, so they don't require the extra power of balanced operation. Depending on the source's balance implementation, there can be other sonic advantages.
These cables don't look like they will fit any M&J headphone. Cable on left appears to have mmcx connectors. Right cable seems to have two pin.
