From MKM Knives—an esteemed knifemaking collective comprised of Italy’s four leading knifemakers—the Raut is a front flipper with equal parts form and function. Designed by community-loved knifemaker Lucas Burnley, it’s built with a 3.4-inch blade made from some of the best steel on the market: Bohler M390. The handle, available in G-10 or carbon fiber, is made with a hybrid locking system that combines the strength of a frame lock with the concealed elegance of a liner lock. Open the knife with a flip of the thumb on the jimped spine (similar to the way you’d ignite a lighter), and carry it in a pocket with the tip-up clip.
Note: At checkout, you’ll have your choice of G-10 (base price) in three colors, or carbon fiber (+ $20). Due to the sensitive nature of shipping knives internationally, we can only ship this knife to select countries. It is the responsibility of the buyer to know and comply with all importation regulations and local laws. Click here for additional information.
Always fascinated by the wilderness, stories of survival, and action movies, Lucas Burnley decided to make his passion a reality in 2003 when he founded Burnley Knives. With the bulk of his experience derived from trial and error, Burnley has earned a reputation as a reliable craftsman by combining elements of classic knives with an emphasis on modern materials. “To me knives are a personal expression of independence and self reliance,” he says. “Starting with raw materials, I’m able to create intrinsically useful and aesthetically pleasing tools and objects of pride that can be used and passed down for generations.”
