One would have to be especially bored to find this thing both interesting and a satisfying use of a hundred and eighty five bucks. Frankly putting the same amount of cash in my Vita-mix and hitting the "High" button would be more entertaining.

So this thing is not using real nixie tubes. That's fine, from what I understand those things have become rare years ago. But it's also not affordable. So what's the point of it exactly? Seems to me like you're getting the worst of both worlds with this.

Why does this thing cost so much? Before you buy do a quick search in Aliexpress...some even come with a remote control.

Yes. Not saying DROP shouldn't make a profit but I thought their business model was to partner with manufacturers and launch the DROP version with improvements over the original product. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Maybe the cost is similar if you include assembly. I guess its not really fair to compare a complete clock to a kit.

BenjrminYeah the drop audio and belts is what got me on here and now it's either mostly chinese junk, keyboards or less audio stuff than before.
It's really disappointing. Even those two categories now have more chinese junk in them than before rather than unique things or collabs.

Looks like an elektube rebrand to me, maybe the other way around im not sure. Either way the elektube is ready to ship tomorrow. Hard to justify either with the NovelLife clock having mobile software controls and the power cable in the back for less money.
