In 1944, Swiss engineer Hans Hilfiker designed what would go on to become the Official Swiss Railway Clock, which featured an easy-to-read dial with large black stick markers and a bright red seconds hand. Vanchrismine came with a battery. Lasted about 6-months. The magnet either fell out or was never there. I've posted this in other discussions and have had others reply with the same experience.

I just want to say Thanks to Massdrop for no longer offering anything I’d remotely consider buying. My bank account is much happier.
One expects to come across a certain number of questions and comments on these drops from folks who are obviously not "watch-people", but I had no idea there were an equal number of folks out there who are obviously not "clock-people" either!
I blame cellphones of course.
Case in point: while checking MDs price for this clock against Amazon's, I read a user review where the writer pointed out having a desk clock was handy, for those occasions when one is using an app on a cellphone that hides the phone's time display!
No doubt that's just what Mondaine had in mind when they created this little clock--helping Millennials limp through life's awkward time display dead-zones.
How thoughtful of them ;- )
