The Official Swiss Railway Clock
In 1944, Hans Hilfiker, a Swiss Engineer, designed what would go on to become the “Official Swiss Railway Clock”. Inspired by legibility and accuracy, Mondaine gained official license from the Federal Swiss Railways, and introduced the company’s Classic collection about forty years later. The Evo Big Date Quartz watch showcases the face that is recognized by watch enthusiasts all over the world.

Design Features
The Evo Big Date's 40 mm stainless steel case features a Ronda 519 Swiss quartz movement and Mondaine’s clean, geometric dial. The dial is characterized by thick block indices as well as a bold handset, which includes a red second hand for an exciting burst of color. Included on the dial is a partitioned date window at the 3 o’clock position. A domed mineral crystal protects and magnifies the famous dial, while a taupe leather strap rounds off the look.
