Mine arrived a couple of days ago. It was DOA. Maybe a bad battery or maybe a bad unit. Customer Service is sending me a return label. I'm bummed. Bought for a Valentine gift.
Just to add the battery has since died. I expected this and will be replacing its soon.
Most of you will run into this as well, this is a prior gen watch that hasn't been produced in a while.
In other words it sat on a shelf somewhere for years.
Still a nice gift for the missus, just replace the battery beforehand.
What color did you guys buy for her and why?
I kind of wanna buy the mesh bracelet but feel that's my personal tastes taking over..... red might be the best option?
Edit: I went with Red.
joined drop and cancelled immediately after reading horror stories of watch breaking short time after buying and costing money to fix.
My wife has wanted a mondaine for a while. But I think I will get the original womens version rather than this evo petite. I feel this may have been built at the expense of build quality and the details looks poor on these watches. The bigger ones seem to have better finishing. Also the lugs on these are too chunky in proportion to the case size.
This is just my opinion, but those tiny ladies' watches are just too small. I'm seeing a lot more ladies' watches in the 36mm range. This is a good thing as those microscopic ladies' watches are hard to read.
BruceReI've gifted small ladies watches to a lot of my friends and my girlfriend. As long as the dial is clear (such as in this Mondaine or the Timex Easy Reader) its quite legible at a small size.
