There’s no bones about it: bulls and skulls make a tough pair. And together, they make an even stronger case (and dial) for this Mondia timepiece: a 45-millimeter watch backed by a Miyota OS21 quartz movement Read More
Most Bullhead watches I have seen seem to be quite expensive, this maybe an economical way to get one; not my style but may have been when I was 25!!!!!
I've seen worse (several so in the accompanying video as a mater of fact), but as oddball brands and styles go on MD, this one isn't so bad.
That doesn't mean I'd buy one and wear it, but if you did, I certainly wouldn't criticize you for it.
As far as the Italian brand/angle goes, I don't know...maybe it's there (like a modern, but soulless Lamborghini, for instance), but not quite like a classic '62 Ferrari 250 GTO, or even like the Panerai watches we typically associate with Italy. Of course these Mondia Bolide Skull Bullhead Quartz Chronograph watches don't cost like a Lamborghini or even like a Panerai, do they? Nor do they attempt to inflate the brand's image with Pazzo-Stupido MSRPs either (in this instance MD is suggesting only a mere $110 discount from the seldom-if-ever-paid, regularprice (lord knows we've all seen bigger lies on these pages).
So, is this the watch for you? I say, maybe it is!
As for the Mondia brand, remember what the Italians say:
"Per favore compra questo orologio, non possiamo vendere quelle dannate cose in Italia!"
As for me? I always say: "When in Rome, do as the Romanians"
