Design flaw.. no practical use, only for look. How do you even control precise temperature for different kind of tea to steep on? With that price point, you can buy couple of tea related device from Fellow

mhvu> how do you even control precise temperature for steeping With a kettle. That tealight is for keeping the tea warm for a bit longer; not for heating the pot to brewing temperature. The pot's overpriced, aesthetically unpleasing (to me), and puts form well before function... but let's not denigrate it for silly reasons. Even a cast iron pot can benefit from a tea light in the trivet.

TigerUKYeah, I am inclined to agree. I personally think the piece is beautiful, but it would immediately get carbon deposits when you start using the tea light and seems like it would be impractical for any tea.
