Product Description
Despite claims that their monitors are “pixel perfect,” most companies won’t honor the warranty without having you jump through a few hoops, only to deny your replacement on a technicality. Fortunately, we’re offering you a better warranty than most vendors Read More

Anyone else's display separating from the backlight? I'm getting weird "tab" looking markers on the top left and middle of the screen.

Has anyone else had any problems with the monitor turning on and off randomly? I'm using this monitor with Apple's Dual-Link DVI to DisplayPort adapter (connection to the monitor is DVI, connection to the computer is DisplayPort + USB). Every once in a while the monitor will randomly turn off, and then flicker until I unplug it and plug it in again. I've read somewhere that it's good to use Monoprice's adapter for it instead, but I'm not sure if I should buy it.

SomniusSUPER BUMP! I'm using the same setup along with a DVI-D cable to support the higher resolution. It doesn't happen too often, but it messes with the windows and you have to set them back up every time it happens. It really doesn't bother me that much, but by my suggestion at least five other people in my illustration major got the monitor (all having the same issue), and I'd feel like a jerk if I couldn't find a reasonable fix for it.

AndrewManchuIt seems to be a problem with the Dual-Link DVI cable, not the monitor. I have this monitor connected to a Windows machine and it works just fine now! However I'm not sure if Monoprice's cable has the same issue, it very well may have it still, but it's worth looking into.

Well I received the monitor yesterday but it wont display anything digital over 1080p. If I try to run on the recommended resolution, it turns black and glitches out. Tried several computers my main one running an r9 270x. Different cables didn't solve the problem either. Very disappointed that I will have to RMA.

What is the advantage of Dual link DVI over HDMI? HDMI seems like a such a simple standard for high-def content, I'd be tempted to place an order for one of these if it was connected via HDMI...

HyrrokinThere is no difference except at the time that these were developed, HDMI 1.4 was around and HDMI 1.4 couldn't handle higher resolutions and refresh rates, so DVI was prefered

HyrrokinDual Link DVI gives you higher potential frame rates and can more easily support higher resolution when compared to HDMI. If you are planning on hooking up a home entertainment system HDMI is a great choice especially sense it can output sound. The down side with HDMI is that it tends to have lower frame rates with resolutions exceeding 1080p. A great alternative to HDMI is Display Port which gives you both the strengths of HDMI and Dual Link DVI. In the end it really depends on what you plan on using your display for and if features like frame rates and digital sound output matter to you.
