I just got mine set up and I can confirm that it is unusable. Way too bright, even with everything turned down. Very disappointed that monoprice would put out such a product. Unless your computer is in direct sunlight, I don't see any situation where this level of brightness is acceptable. I'm seeing spots and getting a major headache just spending a few minutes fiddling with it. Do I initiate a return with massdrop or monoprice?

hyehI'm trying to return this too. Tried to get used to it but it's like looking directly at the sun. I'm seeing double after looking away and the backlight bleeding is pretty bad on this thing. The monitor looks nice when it's turned off though : \
