Looks great, but why no HDMI socket? Is it an older model, or are there advantages of dual DVI over HDMI? And there seems to be a lot of talk about Macbook Pros etc. but will it work with my Dell Optiplex 990 which has an Intel graphics card with DMS-59 connector? And finally, can you ship to the UK, and if so, how much would it cost? Thanks!

aspiersThere probably is no HDMI because DVI is essentially interchangeable for video only purposes, and it needs licensing fees compared to DVI.

aspiersThis is a great question. Aside from expensive licensing fees, HDMI has to run through an additional layer of processing inside the monitor, which means more expense and and longer delay between your graphics card and your eyes. Especially in these cost-conscience models, omitting this additional layer adds simplicity and is generally considered an advantage over cheap HDMI support.
aspiers@Adam @Sastopher, great answer! HDMI increases costs due to licencing, it increases display latency (even for other components) because it needs a bunch of processing electronics, and HDMI is only capable of 1920x1080p so you wouldn't be able to enjoy the full resolution of this monitor anyway. You're going to need an adapter for the DMS-59, I did a bit of googling and it looks like you can find them online for less than $20. UK shipping is going to kill even if it is possible. We may have to limit this buy to North America (we're trying a new form of fulfillment that should cut down shipping time). I'll check and let you know.
