drshdwJust to clarify the 1.3+ statement, even with an HDMI 1.3+ card (Titan is HDMI 1.3a and DisplayPort 1.4), you will be stuck at 1080p @ 60Hz. You are correct in assuming you can cut to a suitable fraction to support 1440p, you'll end up with a clock rate of 33.75Hz. Be sure to set correct sub-timings and you'll be all set.
