That's most likely true, but those (laptops/tablets) still don't represent what the GODJ is no matter the software used! Imagine a GODJ pluged into a battery operated speaker/speakers and headphones. You're done! You could be at the beach, block party, football game, the park or any other place where an outlet or even a table isn't available! You can mix real sets with samples, a real cross fader, start/pause que buttons, all with one cable for connection, 2 if you have a pair of speakers and your in stereo with no adapters and still have stereo/selectable split que headphones! And if you really wanted to get fancy you could use that laptop/tablet/cellphone to be an external source and run effects on that input as well! Don't forget even a micrpone input with effects! What other device is going to do that out of the box at any price?

I hope the $299 is offered again....I would have definitely made the purchase. I have tried the iPad 4 with Algroriddim Djay 2 and the Numark IDJ Live, Numark IDJ Pro, Pioneer Wego2, and Reloop Beatpad......The Beatpad was a good experience..but...decided I did not want to rely on an iPad anymore for software and music..I feared stability issues during a live performance...The features/portability with the Go DJ is what I want...to backup my turntables.. Please bring back the Go DJ Massdrop!

Point taken, but I'm assuming most people have a laptop and/or mobile device.
