I bought this exact watch on another site and love it. Only it has gotten compliments when I'm out and about but nobody notices my Omegas/Tags/etc. What did this watch sell for here? Curious.

I want to buy one of these, but can someone else answer a two questions as Drop support is far too slow to respond (with only 23 hours left especially):
  1. Will the watch come in the original Montblanc packaging with Montblanc documentation?
Will the watch be covered by a Montblanc manufacturer warranty at all or is it just covered by Drop's 1 year warranty? @Snoozer0
  1. has provided some input saying that you get a blank warranty card that you can't get stamped by an authorised, so I'm a bit confused whether the watches are warranted by Montblanc or not?
Thanks for any help.

danmartinI feel your concern. I have purchased 8 watches from Drop; I do live outside U.S. so my warranty issues are probably hindered even more than your own concerns (i.e. for example Raymond Weil Australia will not honour any warranty;I would have to try to post it to U.S. and I don't know if I would be any more successful!!). You could always contact Montblanc direct where you live. I have found Drop support very efficient so far. I raised the warranty question on a watch recently as there was no warranty indication on the promotion page; the reply I eventually received was: there is a 30 day return period ,so if the watch is damaged or not working or not as described I could return it and be refunded. As for the box, well so far all of my watches seem to have come in original bowes; that did surprise me because the Raymond Weil packaging in particular seems very expensive; I even have seen the boxes on Ebay asking $70 usd to sell. I personally wouldn't let the box issue cloud your judgement, but it may be something important to you. Another member did raise this warranty concern with the fact that on the Raymond Weil Freelancer 7750 auto in particular the movement itself was probably over $600, so even with no factory warranty it was a good buy, like a grey market price. (If a problem it may still be cost efficient to get a watch tech. to fix the issue.) Which is how some buyers see Drop: I don't , I see them as a respectable type of clearing house which will look after it's customers: hence the thirty day period; but on occasion give good deals. I don't see this Montblanc watch as a great deal ;but that maybe that's because I already own similar watches. I do think this is a top quality watch at a fair deal, if I really liked it I would buy: at around 62% discount it is probably at the break point for me on an expensive watch, but it's not bad. I personally look for 65% to 80% off RRP. although on many occasions the RRPs are not quite correct!!!! Most of the time a good Drop is around 50% or better in the lower price ranges ; it is harder with the quality watches because they generally hold their price in the "high street market" place; like the current Oris offering; Montblanc also is one of these brands. Apart from personal tastes some of the guys on this forum are worth listening to, MarPabl, RayF,Ed61,Bobraz,and TBJS in particular. i often scan their comments for other opinions; I don't always agree but more often than not it helps. Good luck, if you buy it I hope you enjoy it ,Montblanc is a very well made watch.

danmartin1️⃣ Yes original packaging & 📄. No Montblanc warranty. You have 3️⃣0️⃣ days to return the ⌚ not 1️⃣ year. Read my response in the other thread you were asking. 2️⃣ If you want the warranty card stamped, you better have a great relation with an AD so he may help you with that, I did it once. I got here another Montblanc and its working flawlessly. That was the first ⌚ I got here and I don't regret it at all. My experience here https://drop.com/buy/montblanc-timewalker-twinfly-automatic-watch/reviews/2352604?utm_source=linkshare&referer=9958VR

Shame there wasn't the dark dial offering in this model; but 7 sold a good result for Drop. Nice to see top quality watches still popping up now and again; hopefully closer to Christmas at this budget.

Why does Montblanc buy Minerva, then basically try to bury Minerva with 90% of its offerings?

ShawninoYeah it's very hard to find these ⌚ it seems those are strictly limited editions... hopefully we'll get some of these here in a couple of years 🍀

"A COLLECTION OF 4 SWISS STANDOUTS" Yet only one model in this drop. Anyone at drop is reading instead of copy/pasting stuff?

I don't know. I think this is pretty nice for a chrono. I don't really do chronos, but don't have an issue with this design. Lot of complaining here. Too bad. I have a three hand Timewalker and it is top notch. I don't think this is an unreasonable price for a nice Swiss chrono.

Evidently some folks around here catch a glimpse of that brand name and suddenly can't wait to punch the BUY button before ever looking seriously at the watch they're buying--damn it man, this thing is HIDEOUS! I appreciate the classics of literature as much as the next high school drop-out, but arranging the sub dials on a chronograph to look like Charles Laughton's Quasimodo from the Hunchback of Notre-Dame is taking things too damn far!

Remember, you're going to have to look at that mangled kisser (dial) at least a few times each day--if not for yourself man, THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!!

RayFI agree - i saw the email and got excited. There are some Montblanc watches I really like, including at least one that Drop posted and took down within minutes (of course, if it is a watch that someone would actually want to buy Drop does not actually get it or has one.) But then when I look at this watch...it looks very unlike what I think of when I think Montblanc. Maybe it has great construction, but mechanical watches are not strictly utilitarian, so looks matter.
