This is a beautiful pen and the price is very good. With celluloid body, silver trim, a flex nib, and piston filler and a style reminiscent of vintage pens, this looks really classy. At first I wondered why they did not continue the body pattern to the section, but then I realized it matches very nicely with the cap top and the filler section. Very nicely done. And this is the lowest price I have seen. If only I had not just purchased a MB 146 green striated...

mtozsuI’m not a pen expert at all but I feel like the addition of silver kind of exposes this product. Why didn’t they use gold? There’s like what 10 bucks of silver in this pen, ooo precious metals, AND IT USED TO BE 12000000 DOLLARS?! i’m not sure if this pen is actually a really good value or not but from my expert experience from shopping online and owning online retail businesses I can tell you that everything about this pen just screams overpriced, all the warning signs are there, offering 80% “discount”, using 10 bucks of silver, instead of 30 of gold, but you’re charging how much? I’m the type of person that I want my customers to feel like they actually got a really good deal when they buy my products not to feel like they got ripped off or not even know they got ripped off because you’re so tricky in your wording for the products and how you’re building it. If I’m charging 350-500 for a product, it’s gonna use the highest quality materials. Especially if it’s the size of a PEN. Cmon so tired of these companies. They do “just enough” to get away with it to most normies.

League544Well, "good value" is subjective. To a pen collector, this pen at this price is a very good value. Whether any fountain pen should be this price is an entirely different question and is besides the point. No one who is not into fountain pens is likely to pay this much for a pen. But to a fountain pen collector, this is good price. Gold versus silver is a discussion and people differ which they prefer -- similar to the discussion about the case colours of watches.

mtozsuYes but I see no reason to not just make all of the hardware gold instead of gold and silver. like I said in one of my other posts, white gold is always an option or even platinum. But not for these companies, that would upset their shareholders, and who notices this stuff anyways, right?
