KielHe calls it a good set but has pics of a scuffed or badly finished case and a pen that looks like hell. Wonder how much Montegrappa paid him for the kind words.

I wouldn't trust a word from a reviewer who is either extremely clueless about what he is writing about, or is knowingly lying to make the company that he pushes seem more than it is.
I like Montegrappa pens (though it's more of a weakness/problem of mine and not a statement to their products' objective value). And the set on offer is something that I would consider as a gift to someone from my family (someone close) on an important anniversary. In theory, this combination is very cool. However, my understanding is that no PVD coating lasts long, and while a worn look would be ok for a tool/military watch, it's a no-go for a luxury product.
