Based in the picturesque Italian town of Bassano del Grappa, Montegrappa has been making beautiful, functional pens since 1912—pens that inspire the writer to write. Among them is the NeroUno Linea. Featuring an octagonal shape with knurling on both the barrel and cap, it offers a tactile experience in the hand. The shiny black resin is complemented with warm rose gold, right down to the medium 18-karat rose gold nib. The threaded cap posts to add length and weight while you write, and the pocket clip ends in a small rotating sphere for easier tucking into your pocket. With a closed length of 5.6 inches and a weight of 33 grams, this is a fairly substantial midsize pen.
