For those wondering, the Kanas Pros from Moondrop are the progenitor of the KXXS, Starfield and Arias. To my mind they are still the class of the series. Discontinued and only available now through the aftermarket, the KP’s are a small but noticeable step above its successors across the frequency range. It has more lower end impact compared to the KXXS, Starfield and Arias while maintaining a high level of detail, clarity and air. Brings the upper treble range down a tad to avoid sharpness. Mid range is solid as well and identical across the series. The KP’s have no weaknesses in my view. Obviously there are iems out there that do certain things better, but you’d have to go 3x or more up the price ladder to achieve what the KP’s do in a single package. For the price, you can’t go wrong with any of the four. The KP’s though, they’re special and the best value I know of for any iem.
