Scarily open sound stage, crisp audio, and a warmer leaning feel
These are extremely comfortable, lending well to anyone who is always wearing hats, as the self adjusting band will conform to your dome whether you are capping it or not. They're built like a weapon and they're pretty heavy which some may not appreciate but the weight distribution is solid and doesn't leave any pressure points on my particular noggin's dimensions. I constantly looked around to greet someone that walked into my room or check something that fell over due to the obscenely wide sound stage and crisp clear audio making it sound like something was actually happening irl around me. The slightly warm leaning tone also added to that convincing effect, as the sound signature feels accurate enough to startle you but not so robotically precise and piercing to entail it's just a recording. The included cables are robust and imo good looking, the packaging and unboxinge experience was extremely premium. The outer packaging looks good enough to display. The ear pads are perfectly round which means they would be easier to swap or replace than a more oblong pad. The only negative would be that my long hair gets caught somewhere I can't seem to locate when I remove them, but this was easily fixed by tying up my hair.

DERPFACELARYAfter a couple months of ownership I wanted to come back with a few additions: Build quality is insane. Really love how if the earcups get loose, you can just tighten the screw slightly with a regular hex head screwdriver. Bonus points for the fact that they don't really get loose with normal wear. I don't intentionally abuse these but I am quite unlucky and clumsy so one earcup got a little loose and I tightened it back up and it hasn't budged since. Another great thing about this is that you can adjust the tension of the earcup rotation by simply loosening or tightening that same screw. I've dropped it, accidentally clipped my mic arm with it, and knocked it on a few things on accident and not even a damn scratch or ding. Crazy tough outer shell. Ofc they're still just as delicate internally as any other planar magnetic headphones but damn that build quality. No loss of tension on the headband. Still soft and comfy as ever. Same screws for that too btw. Amazing to see that. Imo it feels impossible to get used to the sound profile of these because the sound stage makes everything feel so real. If they weren't so bulky I'd forget I wasn't just using speakers or just hearing things irl. Bass is lacking but that's as expected for open backs. Doesn't feel like you're missing anything though, and that's coming from a real bass addict. I'm the type of fiend that cranks those bottom end frequencies on anything else but these just sound too pretty to warrant that. Overall absolutely worth the price. I was expecting buyers remorse knowing that I already have nice beyerdynamic dt990 pros and it's not going to be worth the up charge but man it was stunning on first impression and that feeling sure as hell lasts. I've gone through 3 keyboards in the span of owning these lmao

Great customer service!
I bought this with an expected shipping date of September 2023. I am moving in 3 weeks so I was ok with this and put my future address, but Drop unexpectedly shipped it 5 days ago and it was delivered to the wrong address. I immediately contacted customer service and asked them to have UPS switch my address. They were responsive although they couldn’t change shipping in transit. It was unfortunately very stressful as I was out of the country and unable to pick it up at the other address as it was delivered. By the time I was able to get access to the delivery point the package was not there, it had been lost or stolen. I let drop know and they issued me a full refund, which they honestly did not have to do but I am exceedingly grateful for. I would buy with confidence from Drop again but I emphasize the expected shipping date is truly a suggestion and not a guarantee so use a correct address and don’t be like me.

Very Comfy, Cable is Good, and Sound is very Hifiman (in a good way)
These headphones ship in a pretty nice box. However the earcups (the whole cups, not the pads lol) came detached from the headphone which I've heard online some people mention. It takes about 4 seconds to reattach them to the headphone and theyve never even come close to detaching since I've owned them for several weeks. It comes with 2 cables: a 3.5mm 90° angled single ended cable and a 4.4mm balanced cable. The sound is very Hifiman planar sounding, which is a great thing. It's neutral and has plenty of detail and treble, with the bass and mids also still very present and clear. The Venus is also very comfortable, way more than Hifiman's in this price range (Sundara, Ananda, Edition XS). I was able to wear them for a couple hours and my ears only got a little warm on the stock leather pads (the pad space for your ears is very spacious unlike those). The headband mechanism is also really well designed, I can't imagine anyone would find that part comfortable. They're a little heavy, but nothing too crazy imo. If you have a really really big problem with heavy headphones, then yeah I guess skip these, but I think more important than weight listed on a scale is how the weight is distributed. These are distributed very well over the whole head, while something like the old Audeze headphones pre 2021 distribute a lot of weight and clamp towards the jaw and front of your head. I think these are more comfortable than those These are an easy recommend. They sound very competitively for this price range, look really really nice in my opinion, are very comfy, and come with solid cables and box (no carrying case). These were a grade sidegrade to the other headphones I own to give my music a different flavor if I ever wanna change the sound as these sound very different :) (for reference, I also own an HD 560s, Focal Clear, Focal Celestee, Meze 109 Pro, Dan Clark Aeon Closed X, HD8XX, and an HD600)
