Just got my knife in the mail, spine is basically ruined, feels like I wasted 10 bucks or so

Mhahn88Same here. I wonder if Mass drop will replace it. It is a manufacturing defect, but some blame has to go to Massdrop. How hard is it to un-sheath the knife and inspect it for obvious manufacturing defects. Really lazy on their end.

This is the cheapest knife Morakniv makes; it's intended for construction work. These knives cut, are abused, and most of their users will toss them in a bucket when they're done. If you want a polished or squared off spine, get a Companion or a Bushcraft, or finish off the spine of the 511 yourself.

qu1mbyMora doesn't finish the spline on their carbon blades, only the stainless steel ones. Don't bother, it's not a defect.
