I own the carbon version of the Bushcraft (In the sheath with firesteel). Good stout knife but to me it feels a bit thick for its size. It is very stout however and I have used it many times to break down kindling by batoning. I’ve also used it to skin and gut fish and small game, but I prefer the companion for that due to its thinner profile.
bpchristensenLooks like they messed up the specs again because the Bushcraft stainless has a thickness of 2.5mm, the same thickness of the Companion stainless. The Companion carbon has an even thinner blade of 2.0mm.
I'm really tempted to join the drop, this is the best price I've seen for the Bushcraft stainless alone in almost a year of pricewatching on Amazon (and the basic makes it a great deal), but I've already got so many Moras. I've never broken one and the only negative is I'm lazy to sharpen them scandi style.
I received an email stating that you had originally posted the wrong description for the knife in this drop. You further stated that the knife you meant to advertise would not be what you were going to ship and offered me the option to cancel the order if that was not an item I wanted. At last check you have sold only 13 knives on this drop. Any respectable merchant would have honored the original item advertised to those that had already committed to purchase. Assuming there is about $10.00 difference in your cost between the two items, you decided to not honor your original offer to save about $150.00.
I have cancelled my order and unsubscribed from massdrop. If this is how you choose to run your business I no longer wish to be a customer.
I do not want anything other than to let you know how I and possibly other lost customers feel.
Thank you.
Please excuse the confusion, everyone: The pictures are correct, but the description was for the “Bushcraft Survival” version, which was indeed incorrect for this drop. The copy has been updated and the specs are now correct. The blade is stainless steel and the sheath included is not the survival version.
We will send out an email notifying those who have purchased the knife of this error.
Thanks again

I have an email out to customer service concerning the description, pictures, etc and what we will actually be receiving. I'll report back as soon as I hear something.
Why is there still no answer on why the description is for a different knife/sheath than the photos? I would join for either the stainless/orange or carbon/black with the survival sheath, but the 3/4 tang stainless knife in a plain sheath is under $30 on Amazon with and no wait.
I would be in for orange with the survival sheath at this price. Somehow I doubt that is what you will receive. Since I can only make deductions at this point. They probably looked at the pictures, so those are probably accurate, but failed to read the description when they copied and pasted it.
I own both the orange bushcraft knife, and the Mora bushcraft black.
As far as I know, the orange version is only offered in stainless steel.
So unless Mora has started offering orange carbon steel bushcraft knives, there is a mixup in the description.
So which knife is on offer: the picture shows the orange bushcraft without the survival sheath in SS, The description is for the Bushcraft Survival Carbon (I think only offered in black) but lists orange as the color. Based on price I am assuming it is for the Bushcraft SS orange without the Survival sheath as pictured. Massdrop sort the listing please.
IMPXANDEREither the description is off and the picture is correct or vice versa. What throws me off is it says "orange finish" in the description but basically describes the Bushcraft black.
