I hopped on this last time it was on here, and I love this knife! I had gone camping and forgot my hatchet and ended up using this thing to baton some moderate wood for a fire and it worked very well for such a small knife.
Touched it up quickly and re-oiled/cleaned it, and used for cooking. I was surprised to find that even with a fresh coat of oil on it, it had developed a patina by the time I was done cooking and cleaning up. Might be able to take it off with some Tuff-Cloth, but then ya can't really use it for food...
All around really great nice, awesome grip, light, and the sheath is ok, you really can't beat it for $13.

Slayer2003Food prep will really get the patina going quick, to be honest I wouldn't bother removing it. On mines it quickly formed a patina, however like most metals a nice oxide layer does protect it from further corrosion pretty well, give it a rub down and an oil to prevent and it will be fine. You can take it off, but it will come back just as quick and you are adding more metal loss removing it long term.

Slayer2003Tuff-Cloth is just a rag soaked with their Tuf-Glide lubricant, it'll prevent oxidization for a while like applying oil, but not remove it.
You want to look for a metal polish like Flitz if you decide to remove the patina or rust.
Personally, I just use one of my stainless models most of the time. My carbon Mora is usually a loaner for those that decided to come camping without a knife.
