By far the best bang for buck knife on the market.

Man, got my moras, and the spines are both just horrible. Like they’ve never seen a grinder, at any point during their manufacture. Nothing a little filing can’t fix, but still...sub par from mora, compared to the blades I’ve purchased from them in the past.

LeoVazAll Mora stainless blades have finished spines, all Mora high carbon steel blade spines are not.

can anyone advise on the hardness rating of the blades? “Carbon steel” is a general description.

Thanks again for joining this drop! We have submitted the group's order with the vendor for the Morakniv Companion MG (2-pack) and they are working hard to prepare it for shipment.
As soon as the group's order is ready at the vendor's location, they will send the bulk shipment to our warehouse in New Jersey where our warehouse team will break it up into individual orders and ship them. The current estimated ship date from our warehouse is 5/2.
We will keep the group updated throughout the fulfillment process. You can expect an update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 4/26.

Kornel94Carbon steel blades have many advantages over stainless steel and only one disadvantage, which you so succinctly identified. Four things to do with carbon steel blades to minimize rust: keep clean and dry, light coating of oil and force a patina. The first two should be our normal habit, the second can be achieved with too many substances to name them all. (IMHO food grade mineral oil is #1.) As for the last option, going back to page 4 in this thread will get you started and an Internet search will yield more options than you can shake a stick at. Cheers!

Why is this not shipping to Australia? There are already knives on massdrop that have been folding knives that are able to be shipped, which are considered to be scrutinized more-so for imports here because they check for automatic knives (which are illegal here). Fixed blades are completely fine and very easy to get in, I import them all the time. Most recently a Ontario mk3 mod 0, which is a navy seal knife.
The Mora's are sold everywhere here. They are probably one of the easier things to import due to small size and the fact they are fixed blade. So I have no idea why you guys would have trouble getting them in, if you have even tried looking at it.
