Kevlar linings make sense under fabric, like jeans, since they will improve abrasion resistance. Leather is already pretty good on that so I can't imagine this boot offers something significantly improved. If you want something fashionable, just get any real leather designer boot and you will probably get as much protection as these boots will offer.
