Used it once, not for me
Size is fine for my car camping needs. Goes up easily. Was hoping it would be a replacement for an old Kelty dome. Should have paid more attention to the design. Bathtub floor keeps airflow above me when I lay down. That doesn't work for me. Also, doesn't have the kind of coverage I like stepping in and out of the tent. Lucky for me my teenage daughter likes it because it's bigger and sets up easier than her Alps 2P tent. Picked up a nearly bomb proof base camp tent for my wife and me. All is right with the world.

Great value
Well built but the vestibules are too small to keep your gear close. I would not consider this to be a true 4 person tent as it too tight to be comfortable with that many people.

Used the tent for the first time on a Troop campout. To begin with the tent is easy to set up, but a little on the small side, although it says 4-man. My experience has been whatever the size is (in this case 4) subtract 1 and that is the number comfortably sleeping in the tent. Three people in this tent would have been tight. As it was, I and another leader slept comfortably. The tent is not square; slightly longer than it is wide. This matters when you are laying the footprint. The footprint I ordered separately (as an add-on to the drop) seemed just big enough for the tent. However, the usual Mountainsmith color coding was backward (grey to gold ILO gold to gold and grey to grey). Not that the footprint clips into the tent. Like any other footprint it lays loose, but does have loops to allow it to be staked to the ground. It would have been more intuitive if they lined up using the normal convention. As it was I learned the first night that it was oriented wrong and have made myself a mental note for future camping trips. Outside of those things the tent displayed the same Mountainsmith quality I have come to know and love.

An wide and easy to set tent. Good for a small family or few friends. Most of the materials are good. The pegs are low quality...
