Anyone able to compare this to the similar-tier/size Kelty tent?
In terms of noticeable differences quality / durability / usability / features.

badlucktvVery durable and high quality. Been using them with Boy Scouts since 2013. The original 4 we purchased are all still going strong. All have at least 80 nights of camping on them. The current model has a gear loft with pockets, allows you to hang a small lamp fro the peak, also two small pouches on walls to stash small gear. We use homemade plastic ground cloths and haven't had any problems with water intrusion. This is the only tent our troop will buy now. At this price this is a steal.

badlucktvI second the question: should I consider this over the Kelty Salida for the same $$ ?? I am buying my first tent for a family of 3 (dad mom and 6yr old) even though I know this is a 2 person I may hold out for bigger or grab the Kelty 4P. Just curious about quality and ease of setup though I have no experience (LOL).

TRexSrI think this would be tight for you. I would recommend the Kelty 4P. It's still a great tent and the price of the current drop with footprint is a steal.

TRexSrNo problem. Just to add, the Kelty tents are very easy to setup. I would recommend the footprint as well. You can watch some review/setup videos online.
