Surprised more people haven't picked this up. Very similar design (other than rear pole position) and dimensions to my Appy Trails Mark III (was cheaper at the time I bought it, otherwise would have gone with this Mountainsmith) which I love, and have put through some serious excursions over the past few years. Pair with your trekking poles and a polycro (cheap, light, easy to cut to size) groundcloth, and you've got a pretty light shelter that will hold two adults and their gear. Yes, less versatile, and perhaps a bit heavier than a tarp, but probably offers slightly better weather and bug protection. Anticipate some internal condensation, even with the vents.

idoc72@idoc72 - I'm also surprised this hasn't proven more popular. It is similar in design to the Black Diamond Beta Light, but made with a more waterproof fabric and better guy-out points. It is slightly heavier but significantly more affordable than the Beta Light. Maybe people aren't as familiar with this particular tent. I look forward to seeing pictures of this in use by our members who do join the drop.

DannyMilksI got one of these and plan to try it out next week. I have been using a BetaLight as my primary tent for the past 15 years. This will be an interesting comparison. Thanks for the bit about the guy-out points and the waterproof fabric.
