Mine just came in today. And I can confirm the cap and the cap holder thing are indeed metal. As in I took a voltmeter and checked that they are conductive :) I'm pretty sure the pin for the hinge is also metal but it's really tiny so don't know if the voltmeter was testing that or the metal surrounding it. Don't want to mess it up trying to knock out the pin. Haven't put anything in it yet, just rinsed it out but at the very least the inside didn't have any sort of odor to it.
Only annoyance is the cap is a little hard to get back on. I have some food grade silicon grease I may add a tiny bit to see if it helps (you can find it at the hardware store in plumbing. just make sure it says it can be used with potable water although I think all the plumber's silicon grease is food safe)
And since I remember someone asking if there was a funnel, there isn't. You just get the flask and some fancy tissue paper. Ohh and the inside of the lid has some white material to seal it, not sure if it's plastic or something else.
