The RTX series selling point is very limited to the games it supports. Raw performance wise the 2080 matches the 1080 Ti, a card that sells for sub $700. The price here is not the lowest you can get. The value for these cards are terrible. I'll stick with the Pascal series.

I do understand that the 2080 is a strong card, and it's definitely better than the 1080ti. The point I was making was that the RTX 20 series of cards is not as much of a jump in performance from the 10 series as the 10 series was from the 9 series. I think people need to wait for RTX to be more widely used for the price to be viable. And this is of course just my opinion, I'm not an expert by any means.
