Massdrop: a place for MSI to dump their evil, dysfunctional creations.
3GB of VRAM? Laughable.

hangman13Exactly what I was thinking. If this were the 6gb one this would be a good deal.

Not the latest gen processor like it claims...8th gen processors are the latest Intel CPUs for laptops (with 8th gen desktop processors coming out soon)

If they use the same 5400 RPM 1 TB hard drive in this model as they do with their other models in their gaming lineup, I must recommend a HARD PASS unless you are willing to do some tinkering and replace the drive. The hard drive is excruciatingly slow, and will be running at 100% when the computer is idle. Took over an hour just to get to the desktoP during first launch, and a couple minutes to completely turn on or off afterwards. Expect freezes, stuttering, and very slow download speeds due to the limitations of the hard drive. I replaced the drive within 24 hours with an ssd. Now it runs like a dime and I'm actually enjoying it very much. the other specifications are pretty good, and will run almost anything you throw at it.
EDIT: HDD is 7200, not 5400. It's not as slow as the other models, but be wary of your purchase.

daboshofpopIn a way that's worse. Faster but much greater power consumption and worse, heat generation.

The Helios line is a good bang for you buck also look into the Dell Inspiron Gaming 7567 and the new 7577 with 1060 coming soon those have some stellar build quality for the money and can be had for as little as $800 with a 1050 Ti.
