DO NOT BUY this version. The HDD is the slowest possible thing they could have put in it. Worst experience I've had with a computer in my life. You might be thinking "I'll upgrade the hdd". Nightmare experience to upgrade. It does have a M.2 slot, but the motherboard is reversed. So you have to take the whole MB out to get access to it. Just awful. It's really unthinkable that they put this harddrive in there. I can't believe MSI would release this laptop with this HDD.

totallytroyI think all of their gs63vr laptops spec with a 1TB hdd use that same slow hgst thin low power drive. I wouldn't recommend this machine solely because it's missing a SSD connected via the m.2 slot. What a total pain in the ass to get to!
