VetteV12At this price point you should either be looking at the msi 16l13 (eurocom tornado f5) or a high end Clevo. For gaming of course
An i7 7820hk is inherently thick and bulky anyways, the msi 16l13 is based on the g62vr just a tad thicker... but it has a desktop CPU and gpu under its hood. Get it delidded and reposted, with an unlocked bios... would still be cheaper than this thing
MassdropNewbYes, but changing the card to a P5000 for workstation use puts it at a much higher price point. The current gen MSI with the 7820hk and P5000 is the best option right now. Also, that F5 only has a 15.4" screen where a 17.3" is preferred for productivity. The MSI also boasts a 100% adobe rgb if you get the right model, which is needed depending on the work. Whereas the F5 would have to be refitted with a different $350 IGZO panel to compete. Trust me, I did my research on these things, but it all comes down to what each individual needs.
VetteV12Guess it depends on what productivity stuff you're doing. Mine require a bunch of CPU AND GPU power. 7820hk wouldn't cut it. The CPU for running multiple machines, the gpu for the hash power. Screen doesn't really matter to me, but if imaging were your thing I would have thought CPU power would be more important. Other than the screen of course.
