Among the most popular backpacking stoves, these MSR WhisperLite stoves deliver dependable performance in nearly any condition. Made of steel and brass, each stove has a suspended burner cup that enables it to burn hot without losing heat to the ground. Shaker Jet technology lets you dislodge debris in the stove jet by shaking it, while it's field-maintainable design allows you to quickly disassemble the stove for a deeper clean. The standard WhisperLite runs on white gas, while the WhisperLite International can run on white gas, kerosene, and unleaded gasoline. The WhisperLite Universal runs on all the same fuel as the International, with the addition of being compatible with iso-butane screw-type canisters. Plus, the Universal version features MSR’s AirControl technology, which creates the optimal fuel-to-air mixture for enhanced performance.
