Good quality and consistent mold
I have received my MT3 9009 keycaps yesterday. I am relieved and happy to announce that they appear perfect. The keycaps have the familiar PBT texture and rough surface. They also have a nice muted sound profile compared to more clacky ABS keycaps. I find that PBT is a good material choice for the MT3 profile. The molds are precise and consistant across all keycaps. The colors are also somewhat muted, including the accent keys. This lends the set a nice and fitting subtle look that still manages to stand out. I have mine on my RAMA U80-A Seq2 SOYA, and the SOYA color goes incredibly well with these keycaps. They are perfect for that beige/off-white look. I was relieved upon receiving these since I have had bad experiences two times over with the MT3 Dasher set, where I've encountered severe mold flash (which caused visible damage on some keycaps since the flashes were so significant they would wrap around the key) and I've had a lot of keys suffering badly from expansion, which meant that they would drag surrounding keys down upon downstroke. I've seen comments from others in the comment section of MT3 Dasher describing this exact issue. Anyways, this time around, I have encountered no problems, and I love these keycaps since they provide a nice change to cherry profile keycaps, and this 9009 look is just such a classy colorway that's always nice to have available in one's collection. Oh, and the choice of R5 for the bottom row is SO good. I find it way more natural feeling and it gives a really good look. The "arrow cluster" is all R5, and it's a chef's kiss from me in that regard. Great attention and care for detail with this one. If you are looking to try out MT3, I'd say this would be one of the best places to start, if not THE place to start.

R5 Ortho is back, some quality nitpicking
MT3 excellence as usual, but not quite as perfect as my other MT3 sets. Great colors, crisp legends, thick. Personally I prefer the feel of ABS MT3 but that’s totally a subjective thing. But, I have to nitpick for a second. The molding quality is not as good as other MT3 sets of mine in terms of how well the keys line up. All my other set basically every keycap looks perfectly spaced and parallel to the next. In this one some of the key caps are slightly twisted or out of line. (Ex pictures - the 6 key is slightly higher than the rest, M key looks slightly crooked). Various other MT3 sets on the same board don’t have this alignment issue. I only nitpick because I have so many other MT3 sets and they are a premium price. I still give em 5 stars because by most standards they are amazing. But best of all R5 is back on ortho.

Exactly what I've been wanting
I've been using these keycaps for a few weeks now, and I absolutely love them. They are not only tall and thick like the SA profile I love, they also feel great to type on due to the deep dishes all the keys have, which feel like they help to bring your fingertips in to the center of the tops of the keys when you're typing. This is my first MT3 profile set, and I love it. I put some bumpers on my planck to make it slightly angled so as to experience the keycaps as intended. It's only a very minor raise in elevation --- just enough to make the R3s look even --- but even that is enough to make a difference. It feels nice to have the keys coming up to meet your fingers as you type. And having a flat R5 is wonderful. I think it really ties the whole set into a comfortable and enjoyable set of keys to type on. Now, regarding the looks of the set, I love them. I've been wanting a retro keycap set since getting into this hobby at the start of this year, and now I finally have one that not only has the delicious retro colors and feel, it also has plenty of novelty keys, which is what I especially enjoy. As has been noted, the legends on the keys aren't all perfectly aligned, and you can spot that if you just take a moment to appreciate the keycaps (as you will), but I feel that the misalignment is slight. It doesn't bother me. I'm instead baffled by the decision to have the key labelled "Meta" be an R4 keycap. That keycap will be used either for Alt or Super, so having it in that row instead of in R5 seems bizarre to me. I would have liked to have used it for my Alt key. All in all, this might just be my "endgame" keycap set. It's sculpted, has homing keys for us Colemak-DH users, and has plenty of novelties. So I definitely recommend that others look at these kits and get the ones they need to assemble a fun but classy look for their keyboard!

Milosnik-Rekinowi use dh, but what does homing mean?
WaefuHoming keys are keys which have a different feeling to them so that your hands know they're on the home row. This set's homing keys are deeper than the others, so when you feel your index fingers going further down compared to the keys your other fingers are resting on, you know that you are in the home position.

Positive first experience with MT3
This is my first experience with MT3 outside of buying just a numpad kit previously. I find it quite pleasant to type on and I like the sound profile with linear switches. It certainly feels different being taller and not flat but doesn't seem to require an adjustment period for me, I don't appear to be typing any slower. I would still likely rather game on Cherry profile. My one gripe is that a few of my keys have the dye-sub legends misaligned, namely the number row 0 and - keys. They're about a millimeter too far right and it's noticeable looking down at the board. I think this would be less of an issue with the double shot sets but I like dye-sub legends and texture of PBT, the Q legend on the MT3 double shot sets also look funny to me. Also one of few sets with media keys available in the other kits (I use numpads with a 4 key isolated top row for media).

Such a classic! But misaligned legends.
Love everything about this set. Love the MT3 profile, love the thickness and sound profile, love the color way, but some of my legends are very noticeably off center. My 7, 8, 9 numerical keys are the worst offenders. But overall I would recommend! edit: the more I use this set, the more off-putting the misaligned keys are. It’s as if the right half of my board has misaligned legends, and it’s very noticeable.

darkheroWas this only the 'Base' kit, or did you need to order any other sets to fit your HHKB. I can't tell from the pictures if the Spacebar and mods from the base kit will fit an HHKB.

A little bit disappointed
I got both the Ortholinear set and the Colevrak set. The Ortholinear set looks fantastic, and is one of the few sets available that still offer R5 MT3 keys instead of reusing the R4 keys for R5. I wholeheartedly recommend this set. However, on the Colevrak set, the spacing on the semi-column key is weirdly inconsistent and large. See my picture for comparison. I assume the mold for this set is less consistent since it's less popular

. I'd hate to let the imperfection with this one key ruin my experience with this otherwise beautiful set, but I can't help but feel disappointed.

ZuqiniI was going to post the same exact thing, but alas, someone else has the same issue. Yeah, this keycap set is a four star out of five; The only thing holding it back from that five star review imho is the Colevrak kit-colon issue. I really wish this semi-colon key weren't so wonky (as pictured above). The Drop support team is great (thanks Crystal and co.), they replaced my kit cause I thought the issue was a one-off, but sadly my replacement Colevrak kit had the same issue. If the issue ever gets fixed, I'd love to buy a replacement keycap. Help us out Drop, let's get this one fixed cause this awesome keycap set deserves perfection!

The colors look nothing like the pictures
I thought the alpha keys for the 9009 set were going to be whiter in color because they look very white in color in the pictures provided by DROP but do not be misled they are a darker shade of white. Much darker. More like a rotten avocado color. Now I will have to sell this 9009 set.

MT3 FTW - Gizmo GK6 Desert Tan, Lavender linear switches
This is my 2nd MT3 set from Drop, my first was the Susuwatari, both have not disappointed. I have used the Susuwatari on my Moonlander and Nui Mini, and it felt excellent on both. Although I will agree that MT3 is better for angled boards, it still feels great on a level plane as the profile just works for me. However, I will say that having a flat R5 is definitely an improvement over angled, especially on a flat board. I only buy PBT as I prefer the way they sound and hate the way ABS gets shiny.

The 9009 looks brilliant on my Gizmo GK6. Choice is ridiculously limited for premium Ortho keyboards, so I wanted mine to look extra special. Being an ex-banker in the UK I was lucky enough to find a Cherry keyboard with linear switches early on, and no matter where I went in my career that keyboard always went with me (this was nearly 20 years ago now, people used to think I was crazy). Although I never got to use a Reuters board, I did see them around and I found them fascinating. I was also lucky enough to get an Acorn Electron for Christmas in 1984 (my very first computer) and the beige and tan really reminds me of it, so this is a wonderful and very real blast from the past for me. Overall, these sets never fail to make any of my keyboards look, feel, and sound more special. To me the whole custom keyboard hobby is a way of going back in time to when computers were intimidating devices to most people but not to us, the geeky few. It's a crazy expensive way of experiencing nostalgia, but I think it's worth every penny. Now I just have to hope that they make Dasher MT3 in PBT one day and I will have my perfect trio :)

Great new colorway for MT3
Don't really have much to say, but this is a great addition to the existing PBT MT3 sets. Color will go great with my beige NK87.
