I joined this drop thinking I'd have it near the release day for a decent price... I paid $20 here and it's currently $12 on SCG of all places. Massdrop won't have it to me until two weeks after it was marked shipped. Won't be making this mistake again.

Why does it say MSRP is $24.99 when it is $16 on every other site with free shipping? Where did $24.99 come from?

noisyturtleThat's the recommended price set by Wizards of the Coast, although almost nobody sells most sealed MTG product at MSRP, especially when the cards in said product have little rarity or competitive value like these Duel Decks.

If you were to buy the singles (as of now, 16 Nov '17) you would pay $26.76 for the Merfolk deck and $33.95 for the Goblin deck for a total of $60.71 so the value's there at $16.99 and free shipping. If you can find it cheaper + the shipping, go for it. It looks like a fun time for casual play. Probably not for the "serious" competitor or collector.

Very disappointed the drop was a 'Preorder' but won't ship until 2 weeks after release.

How is this a deal at all? MSRP is $20. We'll be able to get this in the continental US for $23.50 shipped from Mini Market or $20 via Amazon Prime.

1. The msrp on this is 19.99 according to the wizards site,so they lowered it back after no one bought the previous terrible duel deck.
2. This set is pretty good with solid value. There are many merfolk which see play in this list. Would have been nice to see a goblin lackey or another older goblin but I suspect there will be some in magic 25.

Decks are weak. No good reprints this time around. Wished this was 12 dollars instead of 20
