Compact Nearfield Monitors
By replacing the speaker’s traditional boxy shape with an ovoid cabinet, the MunroSonic Egg series virtually eliminates diffraction and resonant effects that would otherwise distort the original sound. Along with a pair of analog speakers, the system includes a custom-designed amplifier control unit, which houses all of the electronics externally and allows the speakers to maintain their shape. The result is a wonderfully neutral monitoring solution made for nearfield use on a desktop or console surface, and great for audiophile listening and music production alike.

Construction & Nests
Inside the rigid monocoque shell, the Egg 100 is equipped with a 25-millimeter high-frequency tweeter and a 100-millimeter low-frequency driver. Made from rubber with a contoured surface, the two specially designed nests give the speakers a place to sit and let you tilt them forward and back to find the angle that best suits your environment—all without obstructing the base port or cable entry.
Amplifier Control Unit
The amplifier control unit delivers bi-amplified power to match the speakers’ drive units, and also boasts a Class A headphone amp and an auxiliary connection for adding an external CD or media player for reference listening. Along with low- and high-frequency trim pots for trimming the sound on each channel, it has a midband control on the front panel and a dedicated volume control with a source-selection switch.
