I just got one of these from the last drop. Out of curiosity, what do the elastic bands and metal clip on the chest strap do? As far as I can tell they don't serve any function as the chest strap itself is not detachable. So far its been great as a commuter. Nice and sleek when riding and on the train. The material is pretty water resistant too.

I wanted to verify that that the 21L is actually a bigger bag than 19L. I bought a this bag recently from another vendor and although it had a 21L tag, it was the exact same size as my older 19L, making me think it was just a new size designation for the same backpack. The length of the 21L should be 23 inches vs the 19L which is listed at 20 inches. Can you please verify the length of the two sizes you have available.
'urban assault' is hardly appropriate without any MOLLE attachment points. And for real, with all the school shooting and stuff going on, is this really a good idea for marketing in the first place? How about "nice urban bag, won't kill your classmates".

jadtexasnope- not an immigrant. As a matter of fact my lineage goes back to the colonies; how about you? Pretty weak trolling though. Pro 2nd, pro 'Murica- have a great day.

Can this sustain protection against the elements? Mostly rain/snow?

Is it me or do backpack companies take terrible pictures of the insides of their bags? Like they have 5 photos of the exterior of the bag, and then only 1 photo of the interior, and I can't tell what I'm looking at.

At the price and with all those specs they didn't put a waist strap, just the chest strap? That's a bummer. In my opinion you really can't have one without the other.

JediJonI had a waist strap on my last small everyday bag, never needed it and it just got tangled in everything so I cut it off eventually. I'm glad this doesn't have a waist strap

Stu_HSince living in SoCal, I ride my bike or just skate everywhere, so the waist strap is necessary for me. Not a big thick one, like on a camping/hiking backpack. Just a normal sized strap to secure it better for when I'm in motion. It really makes a huge difference.

thh420That site has two listings for this pack, both of which are the 21L. One listing is $84 and the other is $100. The cheaper one is the older version of this pack. You can tell by looking at the interior organization pockets and laptop sleeve.

teleThanks! I was looking at that and couldn't tell why it was marked down so steeply.

A lot of people don’t like the Peppercorn color. The problem is depending on the lighting in the photos, it can appear pink/dirty purple, or light brown. Stock photos vary, as you can see the first image MD used is what it looks like in person, but when you view the other pictures here in the gallery it looks pink. Do a Google image search of a “real life” photo, and it is a darker brown with maybe a tinge of sage. It’s a very nice color IRL.
