ElectronicViceswell the idea behind massdrop is, that such deals can even be made with new products that have bloated up prices due to low production and sales (like this headphone). So the price isnt really a discount, electronics just loose their value over time as better products with better techonlogies are constatly releasing. its like trying to tell you my gtx 1070ti i bought 2 years ago is still worth 400 bucks and i am willing to make a discount of 200$ for it. No the card is worth 200$.
RainingManI can tell you haven't been around as long as some, this type of buy was much more common before they canned their community specialists. The people who try to apply PC tech thinking to audio aren't seeing the big picture nor acknowledging that one is a very mature industry vs. one that changes rapidly. 24 months means jack all in the world of audio, it's a lifetime for video cards. Not at all apples to apples.

RainingMancomputer components lose value because transistor counts and yields improve so dramatically that new cards become obsolete extremely quickly. Headphones don't have much to do with those things.

RainingManThe world of audio gear is completely different from computer or other electronics. You don't see vintage TVs or computers from the 70's selling for thousands like hot cakes do you? And yet vintage receivers and speakers easily sell for that and more depending on what it is and condition. Audio gear has staying power because the progression is very different. New technologies and products may come out but they don't always make older ones obsolete like what happens in other areas of electronic equipment. Wireless headphones are probably a little different because the tech that is changing and becoming obsolete has nothing to do with the quality of the audio reproduction. Its the same with AVRs. Changing codecs or connectivity tech doesn't take away or add to the ability to amplify speakers.

Touche6784Wow okay i think i have to respond after 3 people reply without knowing what they are saying. This is a wireless anc Headphone, not a standard passive one. I literally has transistors in it xD. Anc has iproove drastically over the last few years and i dont think this anc was even up to par with sony and bose. So please think before you type

RainingManThat didn't really make any sense. If you bought them hope you enjoy.
RainingManYou've had an account for two years and bought some cheap Koss, yet we're the ones who don't know what we're talking about... OK... gonna Mark Twain right out of this conversation.
