Ok, as one person in the discussion said (or maybe just some review for some jump starter), "the first time you use it, it's already paid for itself". I've used it twice now on the first charge. I have a small wagon, 4 cyclinder 2 liter engine. The first time did save me -- I was in a mall parking lot with my kids, and it would not have been good to have to call my wife to pick us up. The second time was right in front of my house, so not critical, but still easier to use this than running an extension cord and waiting for my trickle charger to charge the battery enough. This second time the batter was completely drained -- even the electric locks and digital clock were inoperative. After the two jumps, the charge level says it is at 4 out of 5.
One star off for terribly-written manual. If you buy this, know this: you must turn on the flash light, by holding the power button down for a few seconds, for the jump start function to work. Yeah, I panicked a bit the first time I used it before I figured this out.
