I wonder how these magnets fair against actual clamps. I've tried several magnet type mounts but they all fail when the road gets bumpy.

I have a vent mount now, but over time, its begun to sag from the ball-joint. Does this have a tightener for the ball-joint to prevent that? How tight is the grip to the vent?
gregdelimaI use the vent mount from Naztech myself. It does have two different sections that you can tighten to get the perfect angle you are looking for. It is also very tight clipping into the vent as well. I have been using it for at least 6 months and have only had to re-adjust/re-tighten it one time. (as with all things like this it does loosen up over time) However, once re-adjusted it was back in its original position and holding strong. I have a few products from Naztech and I like them all. From this drop I have the Magbuddy Vent Mount wireless charger, the Magbuddy Desk wireless charger, the Headrest mount, and the Airplane mount. They all work great.

I've found that other magnetic car mounts that use a "base plate" on the phone interfere with wireless charging. How does this get around that problem? thanks!

lionsfan54The base plates should be placed on the lower part of the phone. Most phones wireless coil receiver are in the middle of the phone. Placing the base plate at the bottom of the phone will prevent any interference.

its a square plate and solid for maximum hold. The circle plates with holes is a good idea, but the hold is too weak for bumpy road condition to keep the phone on the mount.
