I'm a wireless network engineer for a Houston area hospital and carry a laptop around that is constantly running battery hungry survey programs. In a 10 hour shift I would lose 1.5 hours to charging my laptop, with this battery I can use my laptop the whole shift with out having to recharge.
Or better yet, what kinda laptop is that?
Coz I have a 15" HP Spectre x360 Convertible and a few moments (read: 2 mins max) after I plug it into the Volt (using the AC plug), the Volt is dead with no recognizable impact on my laptop's battery.
Am I doing something wrong or is my laptop just power hungry?
Hey man, most likely the power draw is just too much for the battery. I use a Microsoft surface for work which pulls relatively little power. I tried using my friends gaming laptop on it and the inverter would shut itself off as soon it was plugged in.
I think you're right. That would explain a lot. Thank you.
