Just stick an SD card in there... Why do you need this bulky stupid thing?
2018, buying a phone without expandable storage... when you need/want expandable storage. Dumb.

HairlessMonkyBoySo, you don't have an iPhone do you?
3 years ago I was coming off a so-so experience with Android and wanted to be on the same platform as my wife, so I got the best deal I could find on the 6+ (more battery life). I wanted the 64mb but had to settle for the 16mb as it was the only one they had at the time. Rueing that decision now. But hoping this device can give me some more life out of my 3yr old phone before I have to get a new one?

scopeIn that 3 years, Android matured a lot, and flagship devices beat iPhones in pretty much everything, even though Apple still claims they're the best.
Today you can buy a Galaxy S9/S9+ (whichever size you prefer), and you get a better camera, a display lightyears ahead of any LCD iPhone, and I could go on; and this phone, at a lower price than a current iPhone, will give you 64 or 256GB of storage, expandable by another 500GB via the microSD slot. Plus you can connect a HDD too, if you wish to.

fonix232So ditching the iPhone could be a better value than buying a device like this to account for its current memory shortcomings? I get that. Doesn't solve the "same platform" thing, but I get the idea of not buying something to help fix current issues, but instead get another phone that does everything better. After, all isn't that what we all used to do every year or two? I guess I'm like that group in the Geico commercial, "but there's otherwise nothing wrong with this iPhone, why would I get rid of it?", LOL. Yes, I am my dad.

HairlessMonkyBoyThats a very narrow minded statement. And considering we're on Massdrop there's a good chance the extra money needed for more storage is going towards audio goodies.

HairlessMonkyBoyKnowing how google handles privacy and security vs iPhone and still buying android isn’t exactly the brightest idea either 🥴 Don’t believe me? Do some research.
