Finally got mine and love it! However, I'm having trouble programming it. I've followed the docs but get the opposite effect. When I click PN + programmed key, it writes the default key. When I click just the key, I get what I programmed.
I tried resetting to factory for that layer and also tried a different layer and get the same results.
Anyone having the same problem? Or is this the expected outcome and I'm just reading it wrong.
I don't have the same thing -- I followed their example in and programmed Layer 1 to have "a" produce "123". When I am in the red layer and press a I get 123. My only problem is that if I then hold down a I get 123 again and again, but sometimes just 12 and no 3. Anyway, it seems like it works as they said.
Does anyone know how to remap the Fn key on the default layer? It looks like with switch 3 you can only remap on layers 1, 2, or 3, but not on the default. I'd like to make Caps into Fn on the default layer.
Edit -- yikes, scratch that -- I found that when I left the layer and returned to it I have the behavior that you noted. I hadn't tried that. Sorry!
Yeah that appears to be the way it works, which is...interesting? If you read the instructions again it says "to issue "A" key code (at this moment pressing "A" is issuing "123") : PN+A
That really doesn't make any sense to me, why would you want it to work that way?
I can't even key the FN key moved on any of the layers, have you? It says use Dip Switch 3 but I haven't been able to get that to work. I'm also trying to move it Cap Lock, but at this point i'm just trying to move it anywhere to see if it is possible
Number 5 under "Programming Example" states PN + A outputs as "123".
PN + A outputs "A" for me and A outputs "123".
Something ain't right.
I haven't messed with moving the function key but about to attempt turning on the arrow keys. Hopefully I have better luck with this :/
The arrow keys worked for me before updating the firmware! Switching DIP 4 allowed FN, PN, R-CTRL, and Shift to switch to arrow keys.
Yeah, that was super easy. I thought it was going to be more complicated :)
Thanks for the link!
I did get that to work -- it only works on layers 1 to 3, and unfortunately not on the default layer). I mapped it on layer 1 to capslock fine... you have to flip dipswitch 3, hit the fn key, hit the destination key, and then flip the dipswitch back. The capslock is then the FN key but ONLY on layer 1.
I'd really hoped to flip the fn key to control and move the arrows to the RHS using dipswitch 4, but you can't move the fn or pn keys on the default layer, and dipswitch 4 it says only works for the default layer. Oh well. I guess there's probably software that would do this for me, but unfortunately I'm in a locked down work environment so the software would be a no-go.
