It's small and lightweight so it's easy to carry, it's great for opening mail and other misc tasks, and it's very satisfying to open and close as a fidget.
The hook blade can dull and accumulate tape gunk pretty quickly, but running it backwards against the edge of a cardboard box seems to clean and hone it well enough to cut again.
EDC is always a compromise. If you find you don't carry it everyday it is not EDC. The Taobar is tiny but not at all flimsy. It disappears into my key ring and is just there when it is needed.
I didn't realise how useful the cutting hook would be. I find I use it several times a day now.
I bought this for my Dad for a birthday present. He loves it! Great tool for carrying around in his pocket. He left the second one on his computer desk for opening packages and things, but quickly grabbed up by my Mom for her projects. Glad this one came in the 2-Pack!
I was always looking for something that could go on my keychain without being to bulky. This thing looked great and is even smaller than i expected. It works great for opening packages and cutting strings or thin ropes.
Opening bottles is a bit difficult because of the size and the small leverage you get. I am also curious on how well it will stand against removing larger staples or small nails...
So far i really like it and it seems sturdy enough for my purposes.
I work in a brewery, and have need of a small cutting tool. Unfortunately the hook with the cutter broke on the first day I used it while cutting off plastic strips. I would have expected more.
