Anyone have any diving experience with these? I'd specifically like to know if the brightness can be dialed down to a dive-friendly level on the lower setting.

zofodraziw without taking it completely apart and changing out the bulb..i think you're stuck with its settings...they are really bright underwater...the lowest setting is about all you need unless an emergency. i have a couple in red and one amber...the amber is really bright for what it is...a good marker for your salvage bag etc. can use it to illuminate your inflatable marker as well.

warchyld67Great, thanks or the info. Have you had any issues with the reds being too bright, or do/would you use them as personal markers (tie to the tank/reg)?

zofodraziwnot really, i keep the one near my gauges on low and it doesnt mess with my night vision that much...i had a green one on low on my tank and it didnt bother me but i had some comments about me looking like the mothership coming in to take everyone away. so i swapped it with my other read one. i keep the green for my bags or inflatables. any of them on high are very visible at night in fact to conserve the battery you could keep em on low and still be visible by the boat. or from shore.
