Are these compatible with rechargeable batteries?

BlackhatThere’s a guy on YouTube who identified a mechanical problem with using rechargeables in the Pro version. With a Nimh battery in it, it won’t turn off unless you unscrew the cap. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=B2Y6tRUiuxw The label at the negative end of a primary aaa wraps around the bottom creating an insulated circumference on the negative contact. The negative contact area of a typical Nimh battery goes all the way to the edge. The YouTube guy’s fix is to put an o ring between the battery and the cap. Clever solution until you loose the o ring. I have several brands of Nimh aaa’s, some of which have labels over the negative ends more like a primary does. I’m betting that the right rechargeable will work fine w/o the o ring trick. I don’t have a glo-toob (yet) on which to test my theory. Anyone out there? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?
