Can it be used with 4 standard 18650 cells instead of the proprietary battery pack?
A well made flashlights can last a long time (for example: the LED is rated for 20+ years of "on" time), yet batteries are consumable (losing a little capacity with each passing day and every charge & discharge cycle until they fail). With a proprietary battery pack I don't know whether replacements will be available tomorrow, let alone in 5 or 10 years, and even if someone is selling them: will they ship the batterypack, without flashlight, to my country? Therefore, I have to regard a flashlight that requires a proprietary batterypack as a disposable item that will probably be unusable when the batterypack inevitably fails.
