Breathable, sweat resistant, and super comfy, the NexTorch LED Trek Star is great for camping trips, night hikes, and working in dark areas. It features a CREE LED and 2 Nichia red LEDs for a total of five different modes Read More
I need to know if you have to cycle through the modes to get to red? Does it "remember" that you were on red previously? Does it have a separate switch for red mode? Really don't care for lights that blind you with white before you get to the red mode.
I did some research before joining this drop and this light goes for about 25US on Amazon (on a good day), so the price here, even with shipping, is good.
Come ON people... ONE dollar? The difference between committing and joining is ONE dollar! Two days left and we still need 6 to join for the drop to even happen. I ordered 2, but that's not going to be enough.
If you're committed, you want it. Just join and let's do this.
PeterFmdYes, but when I sent that, we were still several people short of the 16.99 goal (nine, I think) AND six people short of the 17.99 goal. So, one of two things had to happen for the drop to "go": 1) Enough people actually join at the first price goal OR 2) Enough people had to commit at the second price goal to make it happen at that pricing level. This time, thankfully, we had enough folks jump in and commit to make it happen.
I've been collecting and testing a number of different headlamps and this is a really good price for this one, so I put out the plea to try and get it done. Happily, it did!
Does anyone have anything good/bad to say about this product? Heading to Africa, and thought it'd be prudent to have a good secondary source of light...
UV lights are used to detect HVAC freon leaks, but only after someone puts dye in the system, and that dye has had time to circulate throughout the system. If there is a leak, the UV will show the location of the leak where the fluorescent dye is exiting the system. They sell kits at auto stores with a small UV light, some dye, and fittings to introduce the dye into the system. Hope this helps.
Also, at 405NM, this UV light will appear very purple. The best wavelength would be a 365NM UV light. Doesn't look like much when you turn it on (and you shouldn't look directly at it, unless you wish to damage your eyes!) in that it appears to barely emit any light, however, when you shine it on anything fluorescent or photoluminescence, it'll light up bright.
