I’m using this light in my camping hammock. It’s perfect. It hangs from my ridgeline and provides the exact amount of light I need to read and get settled. It also serves as a beacon for finding the hammock, if I have to venture out for my 2:30 a.m. stroll. Highly recommended!!!
I like but don't love it. The magnetic base is great as I use it to illuminate my keyboard area on my standing desk. The on off function is not always perfect as I have turned it off, but minutes or hours later see it flickering; needing to unscrew it more. One battery lasted about 10-12 hours, so I switched to rechargeable AA to reduce expense.
Very Handy to have. Have found it to be surprisingly rugged. Different ways of mounting/perching it. The magnetic base is particularly helpful for illuminating the interior of metal server/telecom racks while doing cabling adjustments. I always have mine in my main workbag but will likely get at least one more for car at least

In the Discussion section, I wrote about this flashlight, so I won't take time to repeat everything. After purchasing one, my husband liked it so much that he got one the next time it dropped. We don't use them as standard pocket flashlights. We use them as fill lights for art and photography, small task lights for building PCs or checking fluids in the car, for reading, and for vending at fairs. When the power is out during storms, we hang them up as room lights. They don't run as long on a charge (we use rechargeable batteries) as the Massdrop brass flashlights, so having a spare battery or two is important, but they're excellent little lights. If you want a focused, long-lived beam for everyday, get something else. If you want a fantastic little task light or diffused area light, this is it.
A great little lantern that sheds a lot of light, particularly in a hut. However, it is very heavy on power and the battery drains significantly after 2-3 hours. I too have the flickering problem mentioned by Bradfordjohnson.
While this is a cool looking little torch with a nice throw of light, it doesn’t offer much more than any other cheap torch for ‘standard’ use.
If, like me, you bought it more for the aesthetics than function, you’ll be somewhat pleased though.
Love the small size yet quite a brightness, initially. Love the magnetic bottom and 6 or so adjustable angle setting. However, it drained significantly after 2 hours of continuous use... It became about 30% brightness. Luckily it takes a single battery so you can pop in another new one and you are good to go for another 2-3 hrs.
I'm not sure mine works correctly. When turned on, the light tends to flicker at various brightnesses.I often have to turn it on/off several times to get it on the brightest.Brand new batteries don't help. But the design is great. The magnetic bottom is perfect and the size is amazing for the light given out.
Very handy. Pocket sized. Nice hinge. Neat function to twist and push the battery in to turn on, you can tighten it so it turns on with just a bit of pressure or have it so it won't turn it on when pressed and is still not loose enough that the cap won't fall of. The two brightness settings ate a good range. The base is a magnet which is very handy.
