In the Discussion section, I wrote about this flashlight, so I won't take time to repeat everything. After purchasing one, my husband liked it so much that he got one the next time it dropped. We don't use them as standard pocket flashlights. We use them as fill lights for art and photography, small task lights for building PCs or checking fluids in the car, for reading, and for vending at fairs. When the power is out during storms, we hang them up as room lights. They don't run as long on a charge (we use rechargeable batteries) as the Massdrop brass flashlights, so having a spare battery or two is important, but they're excellent little lights. If you want a focused, long-lived beam for everyday, get something else. If you want a fantastic little task light or diffused area light, this is it.
